Janské Lázně is an important spa and the centre of sport and holiday activities. It is the entry to the eastern part of Krkonose (the Giant Mountains). There is a dynamic development in the Ski area Černá hora – Janské Lázně now. The ski area was classified the 2nd best in the Czech Republic !!!
Fields for downhill running are situated on southern and south-eastern slopes of Černá hora and nearby Světlá hora. Skiers can use 2 cable railways and 15 tows of different types and lengths. The ski area has a new 8-seat cabin cableway. It is the only cableway of this type in the Czech Republic. Up to 3 km long downhill courses in the area belong to the longest in the Czech Republic.
